You can export your data in a human-readable format, that is a .pdf file format. All users can download their SciNote data in a form of a PDF report, however, the report does not include the attachments (uploaded files in SciNote) except for the images. To learn more about generating a report, please follow this link.
As for Premium users, they can download all the data, including the files, with the Export all function that exports the data as a .zip file. The button for exporting the data is located on the projects' dashboard on the right.
You can select more than one project and export them from all three projects' tabs (ACTIVE, ARCHIVED and ALL) in the same way. You can switch between Card view and Table view.
Generally speaking, you can export the projects for which you have viewing permissions, regardless of your project role (e.g. Owner, User, Technician, or Viewer). This means, you can export the projects that are visible to the entire Team or the ones that are visible to a specific closed group of people, you being a project member of this group (in other words, the projects that you are added to).
Furthermore, a user who has a Team permission to view the project can also export it (e.g. Guest, Normal user, or Administrator). If you are the Administrator of the Team, you have the permission to export all Team's projects.
First, select one or more projects by checking the boxes. In a Card view, the checkbox is located in the right upper corner of a project card. In case of a Table view, you need to check the box on the left of one or more selected projects. Then click the Export projects button and a modal window will display.
Once you confirm your action by clicking the green button, your request will be processed and exported as a .zip file. Your request can be processed from 5 minutes up to several hours, depending on the file size. Please note, that any new data in the projects from this point will not be included in the exported file.
When it’s ready, you will receive a conformation e-mail and the link to your file will appear in you SciNote notifications. Due to security reasons the link will expire in 7 days. Please be advised that the number of exports is limited to 3 requests per day.
