You can manually add each sample to the sample table or you can import your database of samples as a .csv, .txt, .tsv or .xlsx file.
To add a new sample, simply click the Add new sample button above the sample table and give sample a name. Determining sample type and sample group is optional, therefore, you can select No sample type or No sample group from the drop-down menu in the columns.
If you want to determine sample type or sample group, you must first create it. Click on the Types and groups button on the right side of the screen, above the search field. You can then switch between the tabs Sample types and Sample groups and decide to create a new sample type or group by clicking the green button on the right.
In case you decide to import samples to the sample table, a window Import samples appears, where you then match the columns of your uploaded file to already existing columns in sciNote (see the picture below).
