Our premium customers can export a whole project - all its attachments, protocols, and results - with just one click.
Export all enables you to select one or multiple projects and export all data contained within them. All data is exported in a readable format, as a .zip file.
To export a project, follow these steps:
- Checkmark a project you would like to export. Please note, that users can export data from those projects on which they have viewing permissions.
- If the project visibility is set to Project members only, you need to have at least the Viewer role on the project (see the screenshot below).
-
If the project visibility is set to All team members, all team members are by default allowed to view and therefore export the project's data (see the screenshot below).
- If the project visibility is set to Project members only, you need to have at least the Viewer role on the project (see the screenshot below).
- Click on the Export projects button (seen in the two screenshots above). You will be prompted to confirm the export as shown below.
- Check your inbox and click on the link provided to download your export. Due to security reasons, the link will expire in 7 days. Please be advised that the number of exports is limited to 5 requests per day.
Files are exported in the tree-like structure. Everything uploaded to SciNote is downloaded. The main file of the export is the Report in HTML format, which can also be edited in Word document. Inventories are exported in the Excel file format. Attachments are downloaded in their native format (i.e. same that they were uploaded in). Archived items are also exported.
Our free users can still export all the project's data by creating a report (please see this FAQ) and manually downloading the attachments.
